FAQ

Q: Where are you currently offering the Internet Hog service?
A: Right now, we are currently in specific neighborhoods of Bridgeport and the City of Philippi, in West Virginia.
Q: Why do you charge for paper invoicing and by paying by check?
A: Our prices are discounted for electronic invoicing and payment. In order to offer the lowest competitive prices for you, our customers, we have streamlined our processes. The simple truth is that it takes more time to process a check than it does for a credit card or bank transfer. Should you not want to use the Auto Pay option to avoid this fee, you may call Citynet and prepay your account. Our team is doing everything possible to offer the most robust of services at the best prices possible. This is one way of helping with that mission.
Q: Do you guarantee speeds? What are your plans & pricing?
A: Here are our Internet Hog plans, with pricing and speeds: https://portal.internethog.com/pricing.cfm.

While Citynet provides the speeds listed, those speeds are impacted by customer-supplied equipment, such as routers/computers, that might not be able to process the high speeds, or "through-put" of our bandwidth, and therefore impact the actual speed. We often describe this as the neck of a bottle...contents of it can only pass through at the rate of its most limited component. Hence, the slang term of "bottleneck"! Such an issue can be resolved by upgrading your equipment.

If you have questions on speeds or equipment, you can call us, any time, at 1.844.CITYNET.
Q: Do you cap data?
A: No. We offer great speeds and service without any data cap!
Q: When will service be available to my Bridgeport, WV neighborhood?
A: On initial rollouts of the Internet Hog service will be to those neighborhoods that have expressed an interested in the service. This is accomplished by visiting www.InternetHog.com, inputting your address and acknowledging your interest. Neighborhoods that reach a threshold of 30% interest, receive the Internet Hog service first. This is why we encourage people not just to sign up, but to ask their neighbors to as well!
